Best College Application Essay Prompts - 2021
It’s a new year, folks, and it is time we have a look at the way we write our college applications.
Let’s be fair.
We have been stuck on the same 4 or 5 prompts for college essays, and that has seriously been ruining our chances to get into top colleges. There is only so much an essay writer can do with the same prompts over and over again. We need variety.
And it is to provide said variety that I am here. You don’t need those college application essay examples when you have new prompts that will help you write a unique essay. Let’s have a look at them.
Shall we?
Prompt #1: An Unsuccessful Experience
I know that we are supposed to talk about successful experiences only. But there is always a lesson to be learned from the bad experiences in life.
It's this lesson you need to focus on.
Sure, talk about the experience, but don’t place too much focus on it. Don’t make it look like you are asking for sympathy.
Prompt #2: Risk vs. Safety?
Think of a time when you were forced to choose between taking a risk or playing it safe. What did you choose?
More importantly, what was the result of your decision? If you could go back in time, would you make a different choice or stick with the one you made?
So many questions. So much to talk about.
Prompt #3: Music/Movie/Poem/Series that Influenced You
Look. Let’s be real. From time to time, we are all inspired by music, art, or even movies. It’s normal.
It’s like when I watched Harry Potter and thought Hermione was super smart and amazing, so I wanted to study more.
Like that, think of a time and write about how it inspired you to be who you are.
Prompt #4: Why College?
Yeah, seriously. Why college? Why have you chosen to spend the next four years of your life being tortured at college?
And taking a huge student loan. And getting into student debt? Why?
Please don’t answer with the usual “it will provide me great opportunities,” even if it is true.
Be creative and come up with a unique answer.
Prompt #5: Change a Moment in Life
If you could change a single moment in your life, what would it be? Just one, though. One single moment.
Think about it.
Of course, you can always say that you won’t change anything, but then you will need one hell of a reason to defend this statement.
So, better think about what can be changed.
Prompt #6: Non-Academic Tasks
You don’t always have to focus on your academic life in these essays, ok?
Like yes, mention that you have good grades, but you can also talk about your accomplishments in other areas.
You can mention the non-academic tasks that you excel at. Even if it is something small, it is your job to make it sound interesting.
Prompt #7: Conversation with Anyone from History
Ohhhhh! I love this one. Suppose you can have a 30-minute conversation with ANYONE from history. Like WORLD history. Who would it be?
MLK, perhaps? Lincoln? The founding fathers? Or maybe like Michael Jackson?
It’s your choice but do come up with a reason as to why you think your choice is the best one.
TA-DA!
So these are the new topics that you should consider. But if you are facing trouble, then there is always the option of essay writing online. Online essay writing service can help you make your average essay into a fun and unique one.
Just place an order and watch the magic happen.
You can write an outstanding essay if you just take a bit of help from them.
